Ana Luiza MineiroI am a Mechatronics Engineering undergraduate student and FAPESP Research Fellow at the University of São Paulo (USP), under the supervision of Prof. Marcelo Becker. Currently, I am a Research Intern at the Distributed Autonomous Systems Laboratory (DASLab) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), advised by Prof. Girish Chowdhary. My research focuses on systems that learn to perceive and act from raw sensory data, with applications in robotics. I have worked on end-to-end reinforcement learning policies for navigation and locomotion, exploring how compact representations and multi-task formulations enable robots to adapt to complex environments. I am now increasingly interested in how multimodal learning and Vision-Language Models (VLMs) can enable richer world representations and higher-level task planning for autonomous systems.
